About NHFA - Our History

NHFA Ltd was established in 1991 to offer expert advice and guidance in the long-term care market. In 1997 NHFA launched the Help the Aged Care Fees Advice Service and since then has built an unrivalled reputation as the leading provider of long-term care advice in the UK.

NHFA Ltd proudly became a member of the HSBC Group of companies in July 2005 and now offers its care fees advice service in more than 1600 HSBC branches across the UK.

NHFA Ltd established and operated the Help the Aged Equity Release Advice Service between April 2004 and September 2007 and in April 2007 launched the Co-op Equity Release Advice Service in conjunction with specialist provider, Retirement Plus.

In October 2007 NHFA launched its own equity release advice service to allow clients direct access to the same high standards of advice that had become synonymous with NHFA Long-Term Care.
